The nursing program at the Southern State University of Manabí (UNESUM) follows a curriculum based on building knowledge related to basic sciences, research, and health promotion and prevention.

During their studies, students will also develop values ​​that are part of UNESUM's core values, such as community engagement, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

The Nursing program, through Resolution No. 134-SO-11-CEAACES-2018, was notified of the approval of the learning environment evaluation, and through Resolution No. 144-SO-11-CEAACES-2018, of the approval of the learning outcomes assessed for its students through the national career evaluation exam. Therefore, in accordance with Article 46 of the Regulations for the Evaluation, Accreditation, and Categorization of Programs in Higher Education Institutions, regarding the quality of higher education, the Nursing program at UNESUM is considered to meet the quality standards and characteristics of higher education institutions, and its activities are carried out in accordance with the institutional or program mission, vision, purposes, and objectives, thus certifying its academic quality and institutional integrity to society.
